Chet Baker Trio
Chet plays an excellent concert on this 1983 Paris gig. He plays clean, crisp solos. He plays high notes without a crack. He and his superb band played long tunes full of fresh ideas. Too bad nobody was there to capture a quality recording of it on tape. Listening to these CD's is, at times, frustrating, because Chet and his band are playing so well, and all we get is this horrible, bootleg-quality recording. It will drive you mad. The clip from "Leaving" is a good example. You hear Chet's cool solo being buried under Del Fra's bass.
