This 2-CD set contains Pacific Jazz recordings of  The Gerry Mulligan Quartet Featuring Chet Baker's. The lifespan of this groups was brief (1952-53), but they produced some of the best jazz recordings ever put on wax. Chet and Gerry don't just trade solos, they duet on most of the tunes. Lots of Mulligan originals, only a few ballads.
