A rare all-vocal recording sessions from Chet's early years. Everything falls into place here; great sidemen, excellent choice of songs, and Chet's voice had matured since his '53-'54 vocal recordings for Pacific Jazz. Much of the material is upbeat, disproving that Chet was only a balladeer when singing. He even scats on a few tunes.
