West coasters Baker, Pepper & Urso play a lively session of east coast bop. All of the tunes here were written by Jimmy Heath and Art Pepper. Later issues of this recording are billed as a Baker outing, but it is Art Pepper that really shines here (the two jazzmen had equal billing on the earlier issues known as Playboys). The under-appreciated Phil Urso also lends some great solos.
