Ensemble
Chet Baker
Recorded just before his 24th birthday, this is the turning point where Chet really started to swing. He got the strings and ballads recordings out of the way, and now its time for some bop. This recording is first of many swingin' sets Chet would do over the next year for Pacific Jazz (Sextet, Big Band, Sings & Plays, Chet Baker & Crew, etc). Just as on those recordings, Chet is surrounded by the finest jazzmen from the West Coast.

Most of this LP was available on CD as Grey December. In 2004 Capitol re-released the original LP on their Pacific Jazz label, with all of the alternate takes from that December 1953 session.
