Chet
Chet Baker
This CD is filled with slow, sultry, sexy tunes that seem to drag a little behind the beat. Biographer James Gavin called it a "junkie beat". Baker is paired with some great sidemen, with Evans and Adams taking some great solos. Just listen to the opening lines of "Alone Together", and you've set the mood for this recording. The CD closes with a Baker composition not found on the original LP release.
