Carnegie Hall Concert
Gerry Mulligan & Chet Baker

A nice reunion concert with both jazzmen sounding great. Mulligan dominates the playing time and Baker is not heard on a few tunes. However,  when he appears, his ideas are fresh and exciting. Unlike the 1957 reunion, here the duo revisit some of their classics, such as Line for Lyons & My Funny Valentine. Chet sits out on Song For Strayhorn. That's a shame, I'd would have liked to hear his interpretation of that song, it's my favorite Mulligan composition.
