Big Band
Chet Baker
Though technically not a "big band", Chet benefits from a tremendous ensemble of  9 and 11 piece bands. Art Pepper, Bud Shank, Shelly Manne, Phil Urso, Jimmy Bond, .....the line-up reads like a "who's who" of 1950's west coast jazz. They all swing on this collection of fun, bop tunes. The CD release from 1993 also includes all tracks from Chet's Sextet album from 1954.
